  Definitely a "pub-like" atmosphere, friendly and somewhat loud, but a stunning view of Lake Cowichan provides diversion from the laughter. The food is very good, and the service exemplary. Jake's at the Lake offers a great little bit of time off!

  The over all experience was alright. Food was good but nothing to write home about. The service was pretty atrocious in retrospect, a hostess was doing more then most of the servers and the lady we got had the personality of a wall. She got our order and brought our food but that was about it, not once did she stop to check-in nor did she bother to even notice us the numerous amounts of times she stormed passed. It took a good 30 minutes just to get the receipt too pay and leave, we tried getting her attention but she ignored us every time. I'm hoping if and whenever I go there next the experience will be better. As for now, I'm not entirely impressed by the ordeal.

  Service was really good! And the blackened snapper was falling apart, cooked so perfectly and tasted amazing! I will recommend this place!

  Great people, atmosphere and staging. I have severe alergies and they helped me as much as they could. All in all pretty good
